Guidelines for Internship

Policy: Intercooperation Pakistan promotes and supports the grooming of students/fresh graduates as professional subject-matter specialists in natural resource management and social development through offering internship opportunity in its’ projects / programmes. The internship would allow students/fresh graduates from different educational institutions in Pakistan to seek practical field experience to their theoretical knowledge.

Guidelines for sending Internship applications

Individuals interested in undertaking internship with Intercooperation are should prepare their Curriculum Vitae as per following guidelines and send to icpak@pes.comsats.net.pk

1. Essential elements of Curriculum Vitae

Please make sure you have prepared a concise and to the point CV with all the essential elements

Personal data

• Full name
• Full Contact Address (postal address, e-mail, fax, telephone, cell phone)
• Date of Birth and Gender
• Nationality/nationalities (Please indicate all nationalities held) and district of origin
• Marital Status

Education/Eligibility

• Any candidate (male or female) who has completed his/her BSc (Hons.) or Masters/MSc. (Hons.) in subjects relevant to IC priorities in Pakistan (NRM, Civil Society and Local Governance, Marketing and Enterprise Development) is eligible for an internship.

• Please list the degree(s) and major area of study. Indicate the date in reverse chronological order. The name of the institution where the degree was obtained from and its location is compulsory.

Training

Please indicate trainings acquired so far (if any).

Professional area of interest

Please be as specific as possible e.g.:

• Farmer centered approaches
• Agriculture/Horticulture promotion
• Community Forestry
• Market and Enterprise Development
• Monitoring and Evaluation
• Community organization/mobilization
• Project Accounting/Financial Management, etc.

Publications

• Provide a list of publications/thesis.

Languages

• Mother tongue
• Other languages. Indicate level of proficiency (Read, Write, Speak and Understand under four levels: high, average, low).

Others

• Provide the names and complete postal addresses, email, fax of at least two referees who are in a position to provide information regarding your personality and academic achievements (at least one academic).

2. Letter of Interest

• In a concise statement, not exceeding one page, please elaborate why do you feel the need to undertake this internship. Clearly relate this statement to your ambition, your personal aptitude and academic background.

3. Notes
• Please use Arial, Times New Roman or verdana fonts 10 or 11 for your application and CV.
• Please make sure sending your application only to the addressee indicated for the Internship Programme.
• The hard copy of the application should be sent through reliable postal service. If you send your application electronically (via email), please send it only as a MS Word attachment file and confirm receipt. Do not send a hardcopy if you have sent the application electronically.
• Limit the Curriculum Vitae to a maximum of 2 pages.
• Incomplete application will not be considered for short listing.
• IC reserves the right to accept/reject the applications. Due to the bulk of applications received, IC is not in a position to provide individual reason for non-acceptance.
• Intercooperation reserves the right to withdraw the internship announced in the event of unexpected change in the context
