1. Essential elements of Curriculum Vitae
Please make sure you have prepared a concise and to the point CV with
all the essential elements
Personal data
• Full name with title
• Full Contact Address (postal address, e-mail, fax, telephone,
cell phone)
• Date of Birth and Gender
• Nationality/nationalities (Please indicate all nationalities
held) and district of origin
• Marital Status, Number of dependent children
Education
Please list the degree(s) and major area of study. Indicate the date
in reverse chronological order. The name of the institution where the
degree was obtained from and its location is compulsory.
Training
Please indicate only major trainings acquired, especially those relevant
for the position announced.
Summary of Professional skills /competence
• Major area(s) of specialization in order of competence. Please
be as specific as possible e.g.:
(I) Farmer centered approaches
(II) Community Forestry
(III) Monitoring and Evaluation
• Writing / reporting skills
• Computer skills
Summary of relevant work experience
• Please provide a brief summary of employment history starting
with your present post, in reverse chronological order.
o Dates (from, to)
o Employer
o Exact position and key responsibilities
o Location of work
Publications
• Provide a list of significant publications.
Languages
• Mother tongue
• Other languages. Indicate level of proficiency (Read, Write,
Speak and understand under three levels: high, average, low).
Memberships
• Please mention previous memberships, in case held in organizations’
boards of governors or any other networks in the past.
• Please mention current memberships, in case held in organizations’
boards of governors or any other networks at the time of applying for
this position.
Others
• Provide the names and complete postal addresses, email, fax
of at least three referees (in addition to current and previous employers
if desired) who are in a position to provide information on your professional
achievements.
2. Letter of Interest
In a concise statement, not exceeding one page, please elaborate why
do you consider yourself qualified for the particular position you are
applying for. Clearly relate this statement to the terms of reference,
your personal aptitude, academic background, competencies and professional
experience.
3. Notes
• Please use Arial, Times New Roman or verdana fonts 10 or 11
for your job application documents.
• Please make sure sending your application only to the addressee
indicated on the Job Announcement.
• The hard copy of the application should be sent through reliable
postal service. If you send your application electronically (via email),
please send it only as a MS Word attachment file and confirm receipt.
Do not send a hardcopy if you have sent the application electronically.
• Limit the Curriculum Vitae to maximum 4 pages
• Incomplete application will not be considered for short listing.
• IC reserves the right to demand employment contract from previous/current
job of the candidate for salary reference at the event of job offer
and final negotiations.
• Intercooperation reserves the right to withdraw anyone or all
of the vacancies announced in the event of unexpected change in the
context.
